15.º CONCURSO INTERNACIONAL DE CARICATURAS – 2026
(KYRENIA – CHIPRE)
BASES Y CONDICIONES DE PARTICIPACIÓN
1. Este concurso está abierto a caricaturistas amateurs o profesionales de todo el mundo, mayores de 18 años, o a cualquier persona que pueda dibujar caricaturas, independientemente de su religión, idioma o raza.
2. TEMAS:
A) Tema del olivo
Olivo, olivo y tiempo, olivo y historia, olivo y mitología, olivo y tecnología, olivo y Chipre, olivo y vida, olivo y paz, olivo y conflicto, olivo y guerra, olivo y salud, olivo y mujeres, olivo y hombres, olivo y niños, aceite de oliva, rama de olivo, árbol de olivo, beneficios del olivo, olivo y almazara/prensa, prohibición del arranque, la quema y la tala de olivos, y temas afines.
B) Tema libre
Se puede dibujar cualquier tema.
3. Las obras enviadas al concurso deben ser caricaturas. No se aceptarán obras en forma de pintura o ilustración.
Las caricaturas deben ser sin texto. No debe aparecer el nombre de ninguna marca, objeto o producto. Solo se podrán usar logotipos o símbolos.
4. Las caricaturas enviadas al concurso deben ser estrictamente en BLANCO Y NEGRO y originales. No se aceptan escalas de grises.
Tamaño A4 o A3.
Cada participante debe escribir en el reverso de la caricatura su nombre, apellido, dirección, teléfono y correo electrónico.
Debe enviarse también una fotografía y un breve currículum.
5. Las obras enviadas pueden haber sido publicadas previamente, pero no deben haber obtenido premios.
6. Tras la evaluación del Jurado Internacional de Selección, las obras finalistas se publicarán en el sitio web oficial del concurso.
Además, dichas obras serán puestas a consideración y posible objeción de caricaturistas, organizaciones de caricaturistas y organizaciones internacionales creadas para combatir caricaturas similares, imitadas o robadas.
Si se documenta que alguna obra es similar, imitada o plagiada, o que ha ganado previamente un premio en otro concurso (con fecha de publicación), dicha obra será anulada y se tomará en cuenta la siguiente obra con mayor puntuación.
7. Es posible participar en el concurso con cualquier número de obras (en el tema del olivo o en tema libre); sin embargo, un participante no podrá recibir más de un premio en cada sección.
8. ¡NO SE ACEPTAN CARICATURAS REALIZADAS CON INTELIGENCIA ARTIFICIAL!
Las caricaturas producidas con Inteligencia Artificial serán descalificadas.
Incluso si una caricatura que posteriormente se compruebe que fue creada con Inteligencia Artificial obtiene un premio, dicho premio será considerado inválido.
9. Las obras deberán enviarse a la dirección indicada por correo normal o certificado a más tardar el 15 DE ABRIL DE 2026.
NO SE ACEPTA ENTREGA EN MANO.
10. Las caricaturas enviadas —hayan sido premiadas o no— no serán devueltas; permanecerán en los archivos del “Museo Internacional de la Caricatura de Chipre”, que será establecido por la Asociación Turcochipriota de Caricaturistas.
11. Además de las obras premiadas, aquellas que el Comité Organizador considere apropiadas serán publicadas en un álbum y exhibidas en el marco del 25.º Festival Internacional del Olivo 2026.
12. Los resultados del concurso serán comunicados a todos los participantes y a la prensa y los medios de comunicación.
13. Todas las caricaturas enviadas al concurso podrán ser impresas y reproducidas por el Municipio de Kyrenia o por la Asociación Turcochipriota de Caricaturistas mediante exposiciones, tarjetas, afiches, álbumes, periódicos, revistas, calendarios, libros, CD y medios similares.
Asimismo, podrán utilizarse en televisión, video, páginas web y redes sociales con fines promocionales.
14. Al enviar obras a este concurso, los participantes se consideran como aceptantes de las bases del mismo.
Si las obras enviadas se utilizan en los ámbitos especificados en estas bases, los participantes aceptan que no reclamarán compensación económica ni derechos de autor, ni ahora ni en el futuro.

15. Si no se responde a la invitación a la ceremonia de premiación dentro de un plazo de 10 días, el artista premiado no podrá beneficiarse de las facilidades de transporte y alojamiento garantizadas en estas bases.
Si un artista confirma su asistencia a la ceremonia de premiación y se realiza una reserva de pasaje, pero luego cambia de opinión, deberá notificarlo por escrito al Comité Organizador 24 horas antes de la fecha de su vuelo.
La falta de notificación escrita dará lugar a que cualquier pérdida económica derivada de la reserva del pasaje sea descontada del premio en efectivo.

In line with the decision we made last year, WE ONLY ACCEPT cartoons sent to this contest WITH BLACK LINES ON A WHITE
BACKGROUND. WE DO NOT ACCEPT GRAY SHADES EITHER!!! TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
1 – This contest is open to amateur or professional World cartoonists over the age of 18 or anyone who can draw cartoons – regardless of religion, language or race.
2 – THEMES:
A) Olive Subject
Olive, Olive and Time, Olive and History, Olive and Mythology, Olive and Technology, Olive and Cyprus, Olive and Life, Olive and Peace, Olive and Conflict, Olive and War, Olive and Health, Olive and Women, Olive and Men, Olive and Children, Olive Oil, Olive Branch, Olive Tree, Benefits of Olive, Olive and Olive Mill/Press, Banning of Uprooting, Burning and Cutting Down Olive Trees and so forth.
B) Free Subject
Any topic can be drawn.
3 – The works to be sent to the contest must be in cartoon style. Works in the form of paintings or illustrations will not be accepted.
Cartoons must be without text. No brand, item or product name should be written on the cartoons. Only logos or symbols should be
used.
4 – Cartoons sent to the contest must be absolutely BLACK & WHITE and original. Grayscales are not accepted. Size A4 or A3. Each participant must write their name, surname, address, telephone, e-mail information on the back of the cartoon. A photo and a short CV must be sent.
5 – The works to be sent to the contest may have been published before but should not have won an award.
6 – After the evaluation of the International Selection Committee Members, the finalist works will be published on the official website of the contest. In addition, the finalist works will be brought to the attention and objection of cartoonists, cartoonist organizations, and international organizations established against similar, imitated and stolen cartoons. If it is documented that any work is similar, imitated or stolen or has previously won an award in another contest (with the date of publication), that work will be cancelled and the next highest scoring work will be taken into consideration.
7 – It is possible to participate in the contest with any number of works (in Olive or Free subjects), however, a participant will not be given more than one award in each section.
8 – CARTOONS PRODUCED WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ARE NOT ACCEPTED!!! Cartoons produced with Artificial Intelligence will be disqualified from the contest. Even if a cartoon that is later understood to be a product of Artificial Intelligence wins an award, its award will be deemed invalid.
9 – The works must be sent to the specified address by normal or insured mail by 15 APRIL 2026 at the latest. HAND DELIVERY IS NOT ACCEPTED.
10 – The cartoons sent – whether they receive an award or not – will not be returned; they will remain in the archives of the
“International Cyprus Cartoon Museum” to be established by the Cyprus Turkish Cartoonists Association.
11 – In addition to the works that win awards in the contest, the works deemed appropriate by the Organizing Committee will be
published in an album and exhibited within the scope of the 25th International Olive Festival 2026.
12 – The results of the contest will be communicated to all participants and the press and media.
13 – All cartoons sent to the contest can be printed and reproduced by the Kyrenia Municipality or the Cyprus Turkish Cartoonists
Association using exhibition, card, poster, album, newspaper,magazine, calendar, book, CD and similar techniques. They can also be used on television, video, web pages and social media for promotional purposes.
14 – By sending works to this contest, participants are deemed to have accepted the terms of the contest. If the works sent are used in the places specified in these specifications, participants accept that they will not seek financial compensation or copyrights today or in the future.

15 – If the invitation to the award ceremony is not responded to within 10 days, the award-winning artist will not be able to benefit
from the transportation and accommodation facilities guaranteed in these specifications.
If an artist confirms their attendance at the awards ceremony and has a ticket reservation made, but later changes their mind, they
must notify the Organizing Committee in writing 24 hours prior to their flight date. Failure to provide written notification will result in any financial losses incurred due to the ticket reservation being deducted from the monetary prize.
