Humor Sapiens International Award 2026
With the aim of recognizing and encouraging the study, reflection, and promotion of humor as a cultural, artistic, social, and human phenomenon, the Humor Sapiens International Award was created.
This annual award is presented by the Chilean-Cuban website Humor Sapiens, a reference platform for the study and reflection on humor since its founding in 2013. The award seeks to recognize individuals who, through research, teaching, criticism, creative work, or cultural activities, make a significant contribution to the understanding and appreciation of humor in its many dimensions.
Each year, the Humor Sapiens International Award is presented to an Outstanding Person: a scholar, researcher, thinker, or promoter of humor whose work represents a significant contribution to the field.
Award recipients receive an exclusive trophy and an honorary diploma certifying their contribution to the world of humor from a sapiential perspective — that is, with awareness, depth, and commitment.
Through this award, Humor Sapiens reaffirms its mission to build bridges between laughter and thought, between entertainment and wisdom, and between humor and its serious study.
Open Call: Humor Sapiens International Award 2026
The second edition of our annual award is now open.
We invite the international community interested in reflective and cultural approaches to humor to submit well-supported nominations of candidates they consider deserving of this recognition.
Nomination deadline: October 10, 2026.
Finalists announced: October 15, 2026, on the Humor Sapiens website.
Winner announced: November 1, 2026, on the occasion of Humor Sapiens' 23rd anniversary, and published in our monthly Bulletin.

• Candidate's name
• A brief biography or professional profile
• The reasons why the candidate deserves the award
The Humor Sapiens committee will evaluate all nominations received and may also consider candidates proposed directly by the organization.

Premio Internacional Humor Sapiens 2026
Con el propósito de reconocer y estimular el estudio, la reflexión y la promoción del humor como fenómeno cultural, artístico, social y humano, nace el Premio Internacional Humor Sapiens.
Este galardón anual es otorgado por el sitio web chileno-cubano Humor Sapiens, plataforma dedicada al estudio, la reflexión y la divulgación del humor desde su fundación en 2013.
El premio busca destacar la labor de quienes, desde la investigación, la docencia, la crítica, la creación o la gestión cultural, contribuyen significativamente a la comprensión, valoración y difusión del humor en sus múltiples dimensiones.
En su edición 2026, el Premio Internacional Humor Sapiens se concede a una Persona destacada: un estudioso, investigador, pensador o promotor del humor cuya trayectoria constituya un aporte significativo a este campo.
El galardonado recibe un trofeo exclusivo y un diploma honorífico que certifica su aporte al mundo del humor desde una perspectiva sapiencial: con conciencia, profundidad y compromiso.
Con este premio, Humor Sapiens reafirma su vocación de ser un puente entre la risa y el pensamiento, entre la diversión y la sabiduría, entre el humor y su estudio riguroso.

Premio Internacional Humor Sapiens 2026
Ya está en marcha la segunda edición de nuestro premio anual.
Invitamos a toda la comunidad vinculada al estudio, la reflexión, la creación y la promoción del humor a enviar propuestas argumentadas de candidatos que consideren merecedores de este reconocimiento.
Recepción de propuestas: hasta el 10 de octubre de 2026.
Publicación de finalistas: 15 de octubre de 2026, en el sitio web de Humor Sapiens.
Anuncio del ganador: 1 de noviembre de 2026, con motivo del 23.º aniversario de Humor Sapiens, y publicado también en nuestro Boletín mensual.

Las propuestas deberán incluir:
• Nombre del candidato.
• Breve biografía o descripción de su trayectoria.
• Argumentos que expliquen los motivos de la postulación.
El comité de Humor Sapiens evaluará todas las propuestas recibidas y también podrá considerar candidaturas sugeridas directamente por la organización.
